Vino Vaqueros

Vino Vaqueros invites you to grab the reins, step in the saddle, and ride through the Santa Ynez Valley wine country on horseback, offering an authentic wine country experience. They train quality horses, appreciate fine wine and provide gourmet meals harvested from local farms and ranches.

Enjoy an easy ride among majestic oak trees, vineyards, sweeping meadows and comical yellow-beaked magpies on Fess Parker’s Winery and Ranch, a unique setting at the base of the scenic Santa Ynez Mountains. A typical Vino Vaqueros ride meets at the Fess Parker Winery, 6200 Foxen Canyon Road, in the morning or afternoon. The horseback ride lasts for 90 minutes, with amazing views of Figueroa Mountain and Grass Mountain. After dismounting, guests stroll over to the tasting room to sample about eight wines. Have some lunch overlooking the winery. Enjoy locally made gourmet sandwiches and salads.

Peter Ganibi is owner of Vino Vaqueros as well as the owner of G1 Polo Horses located in Santa Ynez, California. He trains young horses from all over the U.S. for top professional polo players. Peter is also a professional polo player himself and carries a 2 goal handicap.
