Habitat for Humanity ReStore
Santa Barbara has a new resource for sustainability and home improvement. The Habitat ReStore is a not-for-profit discount home improvement center where used, salvaged and surplus building materials are sold below retail prices and the revenue goes directly to the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate to build more homes for low income families.

To keep our shelves stocked, the ReStore relies on donations of usable building materials from homeowners that are moving or remodeling, stores, builders, contractors and others. It is not a place for people to drop off junk or unusable materials. On any given day you’ll find the ReStore stocked with everything from vintage, one-of-a-kind items to new and surplus materials. The ReStore accepts cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, windows, doors and other architectural salvage.
Donated items must be in usable condition, no damage or deterioration. Windows must be dual glazed, and doors must be solid core.
Shop at the ReStore and help low-income families. Careful deconstruction of usable materials is a win-win proposition. Habitat will use the materials in our building projects, or assist in getting them to someone who can put them to use. 100% of revenue from sales gets put back into Habitat’s operating budget or helps to fund more houses for low-income families in Santa Barbara.
Shop and Save. Habitat’s ReStore has a constantly changing inventory of great building materials that can be purchased at a fraction of their original cost.
