Christy Martin’s lifestyle boutique has been a valuable addition to Santa Barbara’s historic La Arcada courtyard in downtown Santa Barbara. The studio is footsteps from the Santa Barbara Art Museum, which makes it easy to stop in to peruse the latest finds from Christy’s travels to Turkey, Greece, Italy and unique items made in the United States.

Originally from the Chicago North Shore, Ms. Martin relocated to Santa Barbara from Tucson, Arizona where Studio Encanto has been an award-winning interior design firm for over 25 years. Christy was introduced to the Santa Barbara community as the premier designer for the 2009 CALM Design Showcase House,“Casa Robles”, located on the riviera in Santa Barbara. Specializing in Spanish Colonial Revival, Santa Barbara Mission, Contemporary, Santa Fe and Old Ranch Interiors, establishing a second location in Santa Barbara made perfect design sense.

Christy decided to open a boutique in 2010 that would represent her design philosophy and allow residents to shop in a retail setting that showcases many of the lines that she represents. Passionate about all things beautiful, she expanded into fashion and jewelry. “Whether it is a dress, shoes,or jewelry, my choices center on good design elements. My goal is to present a mix of home things and unique personal items,” she explains.
